So that wraps up a great day of racing. The Root 1 Racing format was a hit so you can be guaranteed it will be back. Huge thanks must go to Phil Potts and Neal West for all their hard work in pulling together the events and their time organising everything including the weather.
Of course they can’t do it without the help of the Trail Team at Tidworth so I’ll hand back to Phil so he can thanks all of those that helped make Root 1 Racing’s inaugural event a day to remember.
“A huge thanks must go to Gary Jarman for running timing up the top and to Peter Tic Haydon for maintaining the smooth running of the marshals: Trevor Merrifield, Alex Bell, Matthew Scooby Peters, Kai Penhaligan, Andrea Pier, Ollie House, Kev and Dave – Great job again guys – can’t do it without you!!
A huge thanks must also go to our supporters and sponsors who kindly provided prizes, awesome food and timing for the day Team Mitchell Cycles – TMC, TF Tuned Shox, Rose Bikes UK, Dmr Bikes, Dame Cycling, Pothead & Panface, B1KE, Mike from Mikrotime and Aston Hill Bike Park for the loan of their radios.
Finally, thanks must go to ALL of YOU for buying into the idea and coming and giving it a go – it was great to see so many new faces and fantastic to see so many ladies on the hill. Hopefully this will be the start of a number of annual Root 1 Race Events…… watch this space…. See you all soon”.
The next event at Tidworth Freeride is the Southern Enduro on Sunday 12th June. Don’t forget to keep an eye on the B1KE Website for details of the annual Hooper Hooner Downhill Race that will be back at Tidworth Freeride in November and a range of informal events, Jams, and get togethers that we will be running throughout the summer. www.b1ke.com/tidworthfreeride.
