Trails

Despite being one of the first sites of its kind in the South, Tidworth Freeride B1KEPARK might not be as well known as some other venues but it is rapidly building a reputation as a must ride venue.

Originally built and populated by the local downhill and freeride biking community over 13 years ago, Tidworth Freeride was the first site to join the B1KEPARK network.
Since then the site has been developed and enhanced, and as with all sites, is continually growing and being refined to meet the changing demands of a sport who’s boundaries continually get pushed.
The site has trails for riders of all levels, whatever the style of riding.

A choice of 8 Trails provides a real opportunity for riders to develop in confidence and ability.
Offering a progressively graded selection of tracks, with jumps, drops, berms and step downs; a basic skills area and a dirt trail area; tabletops and doubles in all sizes, and the iconic features in the park’s signature trail ‘Whiteline’.

Whether you are a fan of technical downhill or bigger jump lines, Tidworth B1KEPARK will not disappoint.

Downhill

99 Beeches - Blue 2 Lozenge

99 Beeches is a great place to start your day at Tidworth, particularly if you are newer to riding gravity parks and downhill.
Venturing on to the far side of the site, the trail begins with natural undulations, leading into a series of corners and forcing riders to move around their bikes to make the most of it. The trail begins to pick up speed towards the bottom; heading out on to a rollable step-down, then it’s all about maintaining your speed for the final tabletops.

Sick Note - Red 1 Lozenge

Sick Note is the easier of the DH trails.
Initially contouring across the top of the hill before picking up pace as it begins to descend, it offers a number of rollable challenges including rollers, small tabletops and a couple of steps no higher than a foot. The trail provides a variety of berms and flat corners which allow riders to develop their cornering skills. It is a great introduction to gravity cycling.

River Flow - Red 2 Lozenge

River Flow is one of the more natural trails and requires the rider to work for their flow.
A series of larger drops link into some tight corners , testing your abilities and getting harder the faster you ride.
Wind your way through the sycamore saplings, before opening out on to ‘beaver dam’ and the fast final straight.

Derk Duncle - Red 2 Lozenge

A techy DH run that requires a bag full of skills to master and a great place to progress your technique.
Dropping in from the same point as Hooper Struve, Derk Duncle starts with a pedal into some tight corners in close proximity to the pine trees, dropping riders into the gulley before leading into a series of drops which pick up speed quickly. Contouring across the hill through a series of off-camber options and roots, the trail then steps down on to a fast 25ft rolling double and a sprint through to the finishing area.

Hooper Struve - Black 3 Lozenge

Home of the Hooper HooHaa, Hooper Struve is Tidworth’s signature race line and a firm favourite long after the tapes are down.
Offering a number of technical challenges including: flat corners, rock gardens, drops and doubles.
Full on DH from the outset, the rider is responsible for finding flow rather than having it served up on a silver platter. Search for line options as you descend down through ‘Mini Morzine’ and dodge the Reaper whilst sending it off the ‘Coffin Drop’!
Also look out for the newly built alternative ending which provides a massive step-down into a substantial on-off feature!

Freeride

Humps & Bumps

Humps and Bumps is a jump progression area made up of a series of tabletops, berms and doubles – perfect for a warm up or a session at the end of the day.
This area is fantastic for the younger rider looking to gain confidence by negotiating the tabletops, getting to grips with standing on their pedals and experiencing the exhilaration of quick acceleration as the they descend the down slopes, but just as good for the more mature rider to hone their jumping skills.
The zone is found at the bottom of the hill close to the carpark.

TMC Berminator - Red 1 Lozenge

The introductory Freeride line on the hill offers a trail of three parts:  first, a set of varied berms and switchbacks lead into ‘Star Wars’ – part of the original ‘General’ line, one of the first trails on the hill.
This leads down to the iconic series of 12 switchback berms which offer the perfect training ground for mastering  cornering ability, whilst all the time trying to maintain speed ready for the final section…
…rollers, tabletops and rolling doubles perfect for honing jumping skills!
A fast fun trail that can be sessioned from various points on the hill and a mixed bag of novice/intermediate level DH and Freeride.

Oblivion - Red 2 Lozenge

Oblivion, as the name would suggest, is a roller coaster of a ride!
The trail is rollable, BUT, (not really designed with keeping wheels on the ground in mind) has some big features on it.
It starts with a series of berms linked with step-downs, followed by a big step-down, then into an equally big step-up. The mid-part of the trail rattles down through the trees and into a drop which links into the final section: some big jumps, starting with a dual hip-jump, provide the option for riders to increase the air time they are getting before hitting a larger double before the end.

White Line - Black 3 Lozenge

Recently reworked in collaboration with B1KE’s partners in grime, ‘DirtKraft’, White Line is full-on flow with freeride hits.
Starting with a fairly innocuous step-up, riders are straight into a couple of full-commitment tabletops which then lead into a set of progressively larger step-downs. Poppy lips and long landings offer riders of growing ability loads of progression but it isn’t for the feint heart, culminating in a long step-down, straight into the iconic 43ft final table and final step-up to finish.
A firm favourite that deserves the praise and respect riders give it.

Understand the Lozenge Grading System

The Lozenge grading pertains to the Technical Trail Features (TTF’s) that the trail includes. This can be drops, steep chutes, jumps (tables or gap jumps) road-gaps and berms. The Lozenge system is applied within Singletrack grading.

A single lozenge denotes small features and indicates a more technical trail than other more feature-driven lines.

Two lozenge trails will contain technical trail features of a medium to large size. A trail with a two lozenge grade MAY contain features that can not be rolled (ie on a black graded trail) but MAY also have a lesser or rollable option available.

Three lozenge trails have large technical trail features.
These will be unavoidable and require suitable ability and total commitment.
Riders should be capable of, and expect to leave the ground in order to complete these trails.

What to expect at Rogate B1kepark?

The sandy slopes of Combe Hill that provide the setting for Rogate Downhill have been a favourite spot for mountain bikers since the dawn of the sport.
As the years rolled by the site adapted, reflecting the sport’s development.
Traditionally a tale of two halves, the upper site offers steep and techy trail, with the lower site and its lessor gradient offering up jumps and drops galore.

Since being adopted by B1KE the balance has been addressed, adding top to bottom flow lines, increased feature placement as well as a wealth of tech options lower down the site.

Filling in the holes in the progression pathway has allowed the site to offer options for a far wider range of rider abilities. The new installations and reworking of old favourites has created a site that offers terrain which actively encourages rider progression.
Please check our trail grading system and trail map to check suitability for rider and equipment.

Upper Site

Bottle Rocket - Blue 2 Lozenge

Fast, flowy and as rowdy as you want it to be. As easy or hard as you make it. A new line from the top of the hill is a great way to warm up, and a great addition in providing the less experienced rider with a safe starting point and more experienced riders a fun flowing warm up.

P-Plate - Black 2 Lozenge

Take the tech of some classic trails and throw in some fresh woodwork and gap jumps to get the adrenaline up. Get through this and you’re well on your way to unlocking the rowdiest of Rogate’s jump lines.

L-Plate - Red 2 Lozenge

The next step on your progression path to technical trail. A now familiar top section leaves ample line choice before dropping into a newly reworked free-flowing section with some slinky turns, and finishing in some classic Rogate root steps on to the fire road.

Risk Assessment - Red 1 Lozenge

They say that a change is as good as a rest, so we have refreshed an old classic from way back in the old days.
Risk Assessment is a perfect stepping stone in to the more technical terrain available across our ‘Red’ graded trails; introducing tighter turns, roots and rocks into your riding and opening up new opportunities for you within the park.

Black Tooth - Black 1 Lozenge

Loose. Goose-like! Get acquainted with rolling rocks and off-cambers.

Bikini Top - Red 1 Lozenge

As old as the hill…well almost! This line has been taking shape for well over a decade and keeps on providing the goods. Tight hairpins, loose gulleys, steps, drops and cambers – all in a 30 second package!

Enter Sandman - Black 1 Lozenge

Steep chutes and deliciously sandy turns. A helping of rock adds to the flavour.

Far Beyond Ridden - Black 2 Lozenge

Another old favourite which has been resurrected to challenge all those with a penchant for tech! Dropping in heavy and chuting it’s way down the hill in a loose and twisty fashion for longer than seems possible for such a short bit of hill. Feet on pedals required!

Tunnel Vision - Black 2 Lozenge

Steep, narrow and testing. The flow is there if you can find it!

S & M - Black 3 Lozenge

The clue is in the name: a trail original conceived by Sam & Mike and completed in collaboration with DMR Bikes. Gaps, step-downs, camber and steeps…. A mind blower for those that like to merge the best of mother nature with hand crafted hits.

Lower Site

Bottle Rocket - Blue 2 Lozenge

Below the fire road the frequency of hits ramps up. Whether you’re new to riding B1KEPARKs and want to roll them, or experienced and like to enter full-send mode, this trail will leave you grinning!
Hang a left at the end and you can reach for the stars, or continue straight on and hit a line of small tables perfect for getting used to air beneath your wheels….either way you’ll head straight back up for another run.

Happy Ending - Red 3 Lozenge

The alternative ending for Bottle Rocket is a 30ft tabletop guaranteed to up the air miles!

S-berms - Blue 1 Lozenge

Our favourite sessiony turns that link up into a 180 return-berm at the end. Perfect for practicing or challenging your mates at any point in the day. (Accessed via the Bottle Rocket session point)

Triple ‘R’ Rated - Black 3 Lozenge

Flat-out fast with some big ol’ hits if you want them. Go on, scare yourself!

Main Line - Red 2 Lozenge

A little bit of everything really! A true favourite and a trail that defines Rogate, with options galore and smiles all the way down. Tables, drops, on-offs and gaps…what’s not to like?!

Bikini Bottom - Red 2 Lozenge

This trail has more recycled parts than a creation of Victor Frankenstein! Options galore allow you to choose varying levels of intensity as you drop into loose, rooty turns, and finishes up with a ski jump, some rollers and a couple of tables. Variety and creativity abound.

Split Richard - Red 2 Lozenge

Another trail with more options than a hot chocolate shop. Twist and turn your way down; skipping between lines and getting rowdy with your mates, before heading into the final motorway section with some classic Rogate features.

Far Beyond Ridden - Black 3 Lozenge

Carries on from where its top left off. More tight, techy corners filled with bulging roots, loose dust and stones; finishing with a heritage ditch gap and into the final 6 pack.

Tunnel Vision - Black 2 Lozenge

Dark, mouldy and distinctly different to other Rogate offerings, Tunnel Vision is a shout-out to distant forest trails where you have to work for your flow. Comes complete with raised skinnies and fallen-tree balance beams for extra authenticity.

S&M - Black 3 Lozenge

Adding to the already eclectic mix of riding styles in the top half of S&M, the bottom half injects some adrenaline fuelled woodwork, techy gaps, mouldy woods and scatterings of line options. Not as simple as it looks, but then it was never meant to be!
Brought to you in conjunction with DMR Bikes.

Novice

Rollers

The Roller Line is perfect for developing the ‘Pump’ technique needed to develop your jumping. Ideal for novices and those new to the B1KEPARK. A lot of fun and a great workout too!

Tabletops

The Tabletop Line is the first rung on the progression ladder.
With no gaps to clear, the ‘tables’ are a safe way to ensure your technique is dialled before progressing to the First Double Line. Use the ‘Pump’ you’ve acquired from the rollers and perfect it on the Tabletops to maximise your air time.

Advanced

The First Double Line

The First Double Line introduces you to the taller, steeper lips and landings of dirt jump trails, and the first place you can really start to experiment with throwing some shapes. Great for getting a feel of jumps and perfecting your technique before progressing onto the Main Line.

The Main Line

Once you’re happy on the First Double Line, the Main Line steps things up.
Dialled in by Sam Reynolds, Olly Wilkins and Brendan Fairclough, the lips and landings get even taller and steeper, giving you more air time: perfect for getting those tricks clicked!

Trail grades

Trails here are without grade. The features range from small to large. Only the Roller Line, Tabletops and pumptrack are rollable. As with all dirt jump trails they constantly evolve, get reworked and change. Always look before you leap!

Suitable for:

Riders in good health with basic off-road riding skills. Basic mountain bikes; ‘Jump’ bikes and BMXs will get more from the site. Good stand-over height and low saddles are the order of the day.

Trails:

The most basic features at the site are the Roller Line and pumptrack – a great place to develop one of the fundamentals of dirt jumping and the bit that will get you more air time and control – pumping.

From here you can progress on to the Tabletop Line where the penalty for coming up short is all-but eliminated.

The rest of the park comprises of dirt jumps (gaps) and lines that in the main become bigger as you move right across the site.
The site and lines constantly evolve; the only guaranteed constants are the pumptrack, Roller Line and Tabletop Line. In all other cases it is recommended that you take a look before you drop in.

Wind Hill is home to freeride-focussed downhill trails, set within broadleaf woodland on the Longleat Estate all within earshot of roaring lions and howling wolves.
The Wind Hill build team have really made the most of the elevation and the contours of the hill to build a progression pathway that can not be rivalled.

Trails

Wind Hill has had its fair share of hype and hysteria, beginning before it even opened and continuing to this day. Believe the hype….but also look beyond!
The back drop to pro-edits galore you’d be forgiven for believing it’s a venue suited only to the world’s elite riders.  If you think this then think again: the site has trails for riders of all levels, whatever the style of riding.

With 10 individual trails to choose from, such as the cruisey delights of Blutopia – a blue trail which is ridden and loved by everyone – through to one of the UK’s most challenging but rewarding ‘Pro Lines’, Viagra Falls; and lines which work for a broad spectrum of riders whilst never losing their appeal; Wind Hill has it all in abundance.

Downhill

Tina Turner - Red, 2 Lozenge

This trail has more moves than a collection of dads at a wedding! Since its addition to the trail network a few years ago it has proven to be a firm favourite, and just like its namesake is likely to go on performing well into its senior years.

Feed ’em to the Lions - Black, 3 Lozenge

Another trail that grows on riders and allows them to develop into discovering more lines.
A small drop at the top is the only obligatory feature which can’t be rolled but don’t think that means it’s easy to tame. An opt-in big drop line for the bigger hitters and a (rollable if necessary) road-gap ensure that this trail is far from toothless. Steep, technical catch-berms that you have to work hard to master lead to a high speed finish, crossing bridges over the spring fed, babbling brook.
Can you tame the Lions?

Rootiful South - Black, 3 Lozenge

The clue is in the name but there is far more to this trail than roots alone: drops, stepped-out chutes and more than a bit of casual trail chunder are all there to keep you on your toes!

Ark at Ee - Black, 3 Lozenge

A firm favourite with top to bottom action; combining technical natural elements and a park feel.
The latter half of this trail is a reimagining of one of the legacy trails from the ‘Allotment’ days.
A split half-way down allows rider to opt in to bigger hits and gaps, whilst if you stick to the right hand side the jump are more forgiving.

Pass the Dutchie - Black, 2 Lozenge

For lovers of downhill, technical, natural trails which only require optional airtime. This trail is a test of skills beyond jumping.
Off-camber roots, moto-whoops and an optional rock garden, combine to create a trail that at speed is perhaps the most technical on the hill.
With line choices galore, this trail can be negotiated by relatively novice riders but to master it will take great skill.

The Left Hand Side - Red, 1 Lozenge

The ‘Red’ graded alternative to Pass the Dutchie. The same feel good tech vibes, all wrapped in a slightly less heady package.

Freeride

Blutopia - Blue, 1 Lozenge

The perfect start to your day at the park, and we strongly recommend you do start here.
This flow trail is as much fun for novices getting accustomed to park life as it is for pros seeking cheeky transfers. With rollers, berms and superbly crafted jumps there is no better way to start your day…..and we know you’ll come straight back up to hit it again.
Blutopia feeds 5 other trails (3 Black, 2 Red) and right from the ramp is feature-packed fun, guaranteed to provide a huge grin.

Empuru - Red, 2 Lozenge

Follow Blutopia to the fourth turn off and you find one of our signature trails, Empuru.
A hugely progressive jump line, filled with the sweetest berms, step-ups and step-downs. This red run is a game changer! In the words of Sam Pilgrim it’s  ‘Better than Whistler’s A-Line’, and who are we to disagree?!
The split sided jumps provide progression when required and the long landings inspire confidence. The bottom berms are both a joy to ride and a joy to look at in equal measure.
Making the most out of the hill, this trail would make your journey worth worthwhile wherever you’ve travelled from, even if it was the only one in the park!

The Step Up - Black, 3 Lozenge

This stand alone iconic feature is the perfect qualifier for those thinking of stepping-up their game.
Eminently trickable, a reworked feature that harks back to the Black Canon days. If you fancy throwing some shapes, working on your style or perfecting your next trick, this is the place to do it!

Viagra Falls. - Pro Line, 3 Lozenge

Big doesn’t begin to describe it! But it’s not just the size – it’s what you do with it that counts…
A line built to provide a challenge but also allow riders to show their “steeze”! Although the features are frankly ludicrous in size they are shaped to be trickable, not just about hitting at mach-10 and hoping for the best.
Designed with input from local legend Chris Smith who test piloted every feature, this trail is like something out of a video game. Favourably compared to any trail on the FMB world tour, Viagra Falls is definitely something to work up to and not something you have for breakfast!
With 14 features in all: even if you’ll never ride it it’s worth the visit just to watch those that do. Straight off the ramp you are in to a series of carefully designed and crafted features that set this trail apart from so many others. The iconic ‘Boner Log’ and line of 30-40ft jumps that follow are rapidly becoming part of MTB folklore and draw riders quite literally from across the globe.

Pay Rise - Red, 3 Lozenge

The most recent addition to the park, Pay Rise was conceived by the trail crew during the tail end of the COVID pandemic, with a view to bringing some old areas back into play and introducing a whole load of new ones. Since its opening it has quickly become one of the most Instagramable areas on the hill; guaranteed to bring a smile to the faces of rider and ‘followers’ alike!
