Session Overview
Upon check-in at the B1kepark you will meet a member of the B1ke crew and meet your MTBSI instructor. You also have the option to arrive early and stay after your coaching session as the day pass is included in the coaching fee.
Using the information you provide at the point of booking and by having a chat with you at the beginning of the session, your instructor will be able to create a session plan that is perfectly suited to your needs.
After a bike safety check you will be ready to hit the trails and start your journey to advanced riding techniques.
Whether you’re hoping to focus on the core skills such as foot and body positioning or more complex techniques like technical features and energy management, your instructor will ensure you are working at the correct level to get the most from the session.
We recommend an initial 3hr session to allow extra time to develop your coaching plan and discuss your goals in more depth, before applying the proven MTBSI curriculum to them. Subsequent 2hr follow-up sessions throughout the year will help you to master the skills and techniques and allow you to develop on your own long after the session ends.
Ask about our annual coaching plans . . .
At the end of the session your instructor will finish with a quick summary of what you have covered and give you some things to focus on to really help elevate your riding to the next level.
They will suggest a next best session date (often 6-12 weeks) allowing you to practice and hone in the skills you have been taught, ready to learn even more new techniques at your next session!

Whilst we do recommend full-face helmets they are not compulsory. All helmets will be inspected and should be in good condition with no signs of structural damage.
WE DO NOT HAVE HIRE HELMETS ON SITE
UNFORTUNATELY WE DO NOT OFFER ANY BIKE HIRE – You will need to bring your own bike which will be fit for purpose and suitable for downhill trails. This can be a ‘hardtail’ or full-suspension bike but it must be in sound working order and will be checked at the start of the session.
We are unable to offer refunds for sessions that cannot go ahead due to inappropriate helmet or bike. If you are in doubt please visit your local bike shop before your session.
