Media Membership – B1KE

B1KE Media Membership is intended for photographers and videographers who wish to attend B1KE venues specifically to capture photo or video content during normal operating hours.

Because our venues are active riding environments, media activity is managed carefully to protect rider safety, site operations, staff, and other visitors.

Media Membership does not provide unrestricted access to trails or venues. All access is controlled, conditional, and subject to operational requirements at the time of attendance.

Who Needs Media Membership?

Media Membership is required for anyone attending primarily to photograph or film at B1KE venues, events, or trails.

This includes:

  • photographers
  • videographers
  • content creators
  • media teams
  • brand/media representatives
  • organised social media content production

Casual spectator photography and riders filming their own riding do not require Media Membership, provided they remain within normal public-access areas, Cabin area and push ups (Not trail Side) and do not interfere with riding or operations.

Before You Apply – The Key Bits

Insurance Requirements

Trail-side or controlled-area media access requires valid Public Liability Insurance (PLI).

Media attendees without suitable insurance may still attend as standard spectators, but:

  • must remain within public-access/spectator areas;
  • may not access trails, riding features, restricted areas, or operational zones;
  • may not position themselves on-course or within riding environments.

Proof of insurance may be requested at any time.

How Media Access Works

Approved media attendees are expected to:

  • pre-book attendance where required;
  • check in with staff on arrival;
  • follow all staff instructions immediately;
  • wear hi-vis identification if requested;
  • remain clear of riding lines and landing zones;
  • avoid disrupting riders or normal operations;
  • comply with safeguarding requirements relating to juniors;
  • operate entirely at their own risk.

Access permissions may change or be withdrawn at any time due to weather, events, trail conditions, rider volume, safety concerns, or operational requirements.

Restrictions

The following are prohibited unless specifically authorised in writing by B1KE:

  • drones;
  • flash photography;
  • tripods or fixed-position equipment;
  • obstructing trails or features;
  • directing riders or requesting repeated runs during normal operations;
  • commercial filming without prior approval.

Commercial shoots, brand work, organised productions, or rider-specific filming projects may require additional permissions, documentation, risk assessments, or operational planning.

Important

Media Membership is provided entirely at B1KE’s discretion and may be refused, suspended, or withdrawn at any time where safety, operational, behavioural, or compliance concerns arise.
